Morehouse College Alumnus, Brian “B-Hen” Henry

On this episode, we speak with Brian Henry. He’s a graduate of Morehouse College. He’s one of the nation’s hottest young DJs. Brian Henry is affectionately known to party-goers around the world. DJ B-Hen has performed for The First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama and celebrities like Pharrell, Usher and, Queen Latifah.

During this episode we talk about his HBCU experience, his journey to a career in entertainment and his nonprofit, Beats to Beat Breast Cancer ™.

Disc Jockey and television/radio personality Brian Henry is affectionately known to party-goers around the world as B-Hen. Honing his skills at Los Angeles’ renowned Scratch DJ Academy, he’s emerged as one of the nation’s hottest young DJs. B-Hen has mad his mark as a resident DJ on ABC’s Good Morning America in New York City, The SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, and on an international tour with Grammy Award-winning recording artist, Estelle. As a standout contestant on America’s premiere DJ competition show, VH1’s Master of the Mix, B Hen was dubbed the “Diddy of DJing” by the Legendary DJ Kid Capri; likening B-Hen’s showmanship, talent, and energy to that of Sean “P-Diddy” Combs.

B-Hen’s greatest career highlight is performing for The First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama. From the Swag Surf to the Tootsie Roll, the entire White House let loose to the sounds of B-Hen during a private wedding reception for the First Lady’s closest aide. B-Hen’s high-profit clients and events also include DJ sets for Pharrell, Usher, Queen Latifah, Sundance Film Festival, New York Fashion Week and Harvard Business School.

B-Hen devotes his life to another passion: raising awareness to eradicate breast cancer. After losing his mother, Tracy to a vicious 14-month battle with the disease, B-Hen honors her legacy by hosting Beats to Beat Breast Cancer ™. This multi-city, music -based nonprofit event series, enlists hist celebrity DJ friends who lend their musical talents to beat breast cancer.
