Jeffrey E. Pierce, II is a man with an unselfish will to exert compassion and a robust appetite for higher education. The Atlanta, Georgia native was encouraged to overachieve through the guidance of his parents and the influences of his wife and son. Growing up in the modest towns of Florence and Darlington, South Carolina, unrelenting morality was instilled within. This core value would prove to be essential in his life. Mr. Pierce is currently the Director of Recruitment & Admission at Huston-Tillotson University where he continues to increase his knowledge and build upon his passion for higher education. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management in from Paine College.
Shortly after graduation, Jeffrey was introduced to his passion for higher education when he was offered and accepted a position to work as an Undergraduate Recruiter/Counselor for his alma mater. Two years later, his successes presented an opportunity to join Albany State University as their Graduate Admissions Counselor. His strong love for higher education prompted him to pursue a Master of Science degree in Higher Education, with a concentration in Institutional Marketing and Enrollment Management which he received from Walden University.
Jeffrey is the author of Be My GUEST: A Guide For Creating An Ultimate Service Experience and has been afforded the opportunity to present at professional conferences, student leadership conferences, and the recipient of two awards highlighting his excellent display of customer service: The Enrollment Management Gold Star Award (for demonstrating excellent customer service) and the Distinguished Service Award (recognition of his diligent and tireless efforts to improve customer service)! Jeffrey also has 3 ED-OP articles that have been featured on diverseeducation.com.
Hearing the personal stories of students and sharing his life experiences to assist with their development have fueled his passion for higher education. His loyalty to the profession has afforded him the opportunity to have a direct impact on changing the lives of each student he encounters.
